We work across three age groups: beginners, juniors and seniors. We teach performing arts creatively through workshops and have planned a curriculum to engage and inspire children and young people to be the very best performers they can be.
Our weekly classes are the most popular part of our offer and are designed to prepare our senior students for progression to professional vocational training at prestigious drama schools.
Beginners: Reception to Year 2
Juniors: Year 3 to Year 7
Seniors: Year 8+
CHOIRS
Choral singing is a really important part of any young singer’s development. Singing with your friends is fun and makes you happy! We run a TACT choir which rehearses weekly. We also have a choral group for adults who are strong singers.
Projects
Performance opportunities
We provide performance opportunities throughout the year, allowing students to share their work and progress with the wider community. These range from casual ‘showbacks’ to parents and carers at the end of session, right the way through to full scale concerts and plays in local theatres and at our studios in Ketley.
ANNUAL SUMMER PROJECT
In Telford, there is a longstanding theatrical tradition to assemble a youth cast and produce a full scale musical in under two weeks.
ADULT AND COMMUNITY THEATRE
Voices in Partnership (VIP) is our flagship performance company made up of professional performers and other highly experienced musical theatre actors from across Shropshire.
1-to-1 Private Lessons
Private lessons at TACT are extremely popular, with over 100 students currently receiving private 1-to-1 tuition.
We Offer:
Private Singing Lessons which can work towards London College of Music Examinations
Private Acting Lessons which can work towards London Academy of Dramatic Art Examinations
Private Dance Lessons with a strong focus on individual needs and technique.
