Bobby Standley

Bobby has directed over 30 productions and concerts in Telford over the last 7 years and prides himself on his originality of directorial concept. Bobby’s major theatrical interests lie in musical theatre and postmodernism. He directed the original production of “tube” at the Stockwell Playhouse in 2018, which was well received by critics and looks to have a bright future.
Bobby is an experienced performer and played the romantic lead in the world premiere of Dreaming Beauty - a Christmas season at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Bobby is an experienced performing arts teacher and he regularly delivers drama and theatre workshops throughout the Midlands. Bobby teaches singing and acting privately as part of TACT's tuition programme. Bobby’s students are regularly successful in obtaining places to study professionally at prestigious drama schools across the UK. Bobby is Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at The Arts Centre Telford.
Bobby leads a double life: He has a Masters Degree in Pharmacy and is a qualified Pharmacist, managing a busy pharmacy for part of the week.
Bobby’s directorial credits include: tube, Oliver!, Blood Brothers, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, West Side Story, Jekyll and Hyde, Beautiful Thing, As You Like It, Macbeth, A Slice of Saturday Night, Children of Eden, Jane Eyre, Our House, Metamorphosis, Top Girls, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Macbeth, Accidental Death of an Anarchist to name a few!
